CONCERTS

Miodrag was born in Sarajevo on the 5th of March 1985 in a musical family. He started taking guitar lessons at age 7 from his father Zdravko in 1992, the same year that the civil war started in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia.
Only a few years later, Miodrag enlisted at the Ilidza School of Music, where his father acted as his teacher until 2001. Later that year, Miodrag and his family lived quite a radical change in lifestyles as they moved from Sarajevo to Québec City, Canada.
This new life turned out to be quite a challenge, having to learn French as a new language. Despite all this, Miodrag managed to join the Conservatoire de Québec and began studing with Paul-André Gagnon. He completed a Master’s Degree with Rémi Boucher at the young age of 22 in 2007, achieving a “Grande distinction” (High Honours) grade.
Throughout these years Miodrag continued to give concerts, both as a solo artist or as an invited solo artist with an orchestra.  He also performed many concerts in duo with his father Zdravko. In 1999, at the age of 14, he was invited to play as a soloist with the Sarajevo Symphonic Orchestra.  In 2007, he performed Joaquin Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez three times with the Orchestre Symphonique de l’Estuaire and the Orchestre du Conservatoire de Québec. He has also taken part in many masterclasses with renowned artists such as Dyens, the Assads, Azabagic, Steidl, Perroy, and others.
Miodrag has chosen, not surprisingly, to become a concert artist.
